Your notes and photographs are written to your phone and stay there. They are sent to our server only when you press Back up. We store your name and email address so that you can sign in. We do not run analytics or advertising, we use no third-party tracking, and we do not sell or share your data with anyone.
What Procure stores about you
If you create an account, we store the name and the email address you give us. That is the whole of it. There is no password: to sign in, we email a six-digit code to that address, and entering the code signs that phone in. The codes are valid for fifteen minutes and can be used once.
You can use Procure without an account. Recording notes, taking photographs and searching your list all work with no account and no connection. Backing up, restoring on a new phone and exporting a CSV ask you to verify your email address first.
Your notes and photographs
Notes and photographs are written to your phone. The phone is the source of truth. Nothing is uploaded in the background, on a schedule, or when you open the app.
They leave your phone only when you choose to back up. When you do:
- Your notes — the product, seller, booth number, MOQ, price per piece, pieces per container, your rating and your comment — are stored on our server, against your account.
- Your photographs are stored in private DigitalOcean Spaces object storage. They are written private, never public, and they are read back only through short-lived links that expire. There is no permanent public address for any photograph you upload.
Exporting a CSV is done entirely on the phone and uploads nothing. It asks you to verify your email address first, but the file itself never goes near our server.
Photographs of business cards
A business card you photograph carries somebody else's name, telephone number and email address. If you back that photograph up, those details are stored on our server as described above. That is worth knowing before you back up, because the person on the card did not install this app.
Who else is involved
Two companies handle parts of this on our behalf, and no others:
- DigitalOcean hosts the server and holds the private object storage that backed-up photographs are written to.
- Resend sends the email containing your sign-in code. To do that, it handles your email address.
That is the complete list. Nobody else receives your data, and we do not sell it, rent it, trade it or share it for anyone's marketing.
What Procure does not do
- No analytics, of any kind, in the apps or on this page.
- No advertising and no advertising identifiers.
- No third-party trackers, tags, pixels or software development kits for tracking.
- No selling or sharing of your data.
- This page makes no requests to any other host. No fonts, no scripts and no images are loaded from anywhere but this site.
How your data is protected
Traffic between the app and the server travels over HTTPS. Photographs in object storage are private and are served only through links that expire. Signing in requires a code sent to your own email address, and there is no password anywhere in the product to be stolen or reused.
We are not going to tell you that this makes it impossible for anything to go wrong. It does not.
Deleting your account and your data
Write to support@ledgerman.in from the address on your account and ask for it to be deleted, and we will delete the account, the notes backed up against it and the photographs stored for it. Deleting a note in the app hides it and marks it deleted so that a later restore does not bring it back.
If you want a copy of what you have, the app's CSV export gives you your notes directly, without asking us.
Retention
We have not set a retention period, so this policy does not state one. Sign-in codes expire fifteen minutes after they are sent and can be used once. Everything else is kept until you ask us to delete it.
Changes to this policy
If what the product does changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top changes too.
